When I think back over the many ex-observant Jews I‘ve known in my life, I often see a recurrent theme. When they were young, their innocent questions about Judaism were often met with “Don’t ask questions - that’s the way we’ve always done it.” Often this attitude turned them into unwilling atheists. I’ve often thought that the highest paid teachers in the Jewish educational system should be t...

Here is the breakdown and connection of the essential details is short: 1) The Jews were given the mitzvah of the Pascal offering in Egypt and fulfilled it. a. The command of the Pascal offering is given for future generations starting when the Nation of Israel enters. The land of Israel. (there is no command for this offering in the desert. b. The Sin of the Golden Calf happens, and the Jews remain in the desert until the next year begins in Nisan. (Year 2). With no command to do the the Pascal offering, God gives a 1 time command to do it that year. ** Had the Jews not sinned with the Golden Calf they would have already been in Israel long before the second year, and there would never have been a Pascal offering in the desert. The new plan was to enter Israel at the end of the second year, before the next Nisan, and the third Pascal offering would have been in Israel. c. Because of the Sin of the Spies at the end of the second year it was decreed that the Jews remain in the desert for forty years - causing a delay of 38 years until the Pascal offering could be offered in Israel. This video explains that had the Jews come forward and asked to do the Pascal offering God would have said yes, and this story would have been the first story of the book of Bamidbar. I hope this helps.

On this subject, I heartily recommend a track I discovered by accident (it appeared in my 'recommended' feed) by a British band called UNIT. The track is A Tribute To The Israeli Defence Force and it is excellent - tuneful and forceful without being bombastic combined with a lovely lyric. I know next to nothing about the group but on investigation I see they've recorded a whole batch of Jewish related tracks such as Pesach, Yom Kippur, Bar Mitzvah, Israel Is Real, The 613 Mitzvot and probably others I don’t know about yet. Some of them feature Rabbi Moshe Bryski which is definitely a recommendation in itself.

Jews cannot claim the land of Palestine as their homeland. According to the Orthodox Rabbinout in Israel, Moses, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and his 12 sons were not Jewish. Moses is not aware of modern traditions, Moses did not study even a little bit of the Talmud, Moses did not acknowledge or accept rabbinical authority. All that together with his two gentile wives..... The state of Israel was created by atheists and not by G-d. Israel is the name given to Jacob. It does not refer to land. The modern state of Israel has no connection with Jacob. G-d gave Torah to the Jews.. Being a Jew is a profession. There is no such thing as non-religious Jews. "And you will be my kingdom of priests, my holy nation.’ This is the message you must give to the people of Israel.” Exodus 19:6 Had Israelis been listening or reasoning with the Torah, then Israelis would realised that they are now living in sins like the times of northern and southern kingdoms. Micah lists specific sins of both the northern and southern kingdoms. These sins include idolatry (1:7; 5:12-14); the seizure of property (2:2, 9); the failure of civil leadership (3:1-3, 9-10; 7:3), religious leadership (3:11), and prophetic leadership (3:5-7, 11); offering sacrifice without truly repenting (6:6-7); and corrupt business practices and violence (6:10-12).

Where do we draw the line between praying to God and asking dead people, usually our own ancestors or famous rabbis, to help us and intercede? Similarly, I know some Jews have the custom to visit the graves of tzadikim, especially during the ten days yet I have heard some rabbis say this is for forbidden.
